GhostWood Studio is a studio designed with the songwriter in mind. GhostWood Studio is here to help songwriters get the most out of their songs, whether they are a beginner or someone who has written for awhile.

Allan Shamplan once told me that "a good song is a song that represents a particular place or moment in time to an individual". So, we don't want to re-write that time or moment but to enhance the next moment in time so that other people will be able to relate to it as well. That is what transforms a good song into a GREAT song.

A GREAT song is one that lasts for years in people's hearts and minds.

GhostWood Studio offers song critiques (constructive criticism) to help you improve your songwriting ability and show you changes that will help you improve your future songwriting. GhostWood Studio is here to help you develop the tools needed to create that work of art. The Mona Lisa of the music world so to speak.

Once you have written that Great song you can then use the GhostWood Studio demo tracks to create the music for that song. Find the tempo and rhythm that closely represents your idea and GhostWood Studio will put the two together. GhostWood offers live drum recordings for your song as well as live recording of guitar, bass and vocal tracks. More instruments are available upon request. It all depends on your needs.

Through cooperation with Blackbox Studios we are able to create and manufacture professional recordings that you may require whether you are a solo artist, group/band or songwriter. We have a list of professional players and vocalists that can perform and sing your songs if you desire. CD mastering, manufacturing and artwork are also available.

GhostWood Studio also holds a Regional Writers Group songwriting session at Blackbox Studios for those who are in the area. This is sponsored by the Songwriters Association of Canada and active members are welcome at no cost.
